Summer is here at last, and you can make the most of it with San Diego Longsword's Warrior Camp Youth Program.
In this week-long day-camp, kids 8 to 14 will get to discover the knightly art of historical fencing, delve into details of medieval history, and learn the ideals of the code of chivalry!
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the art of longsword dueling under the guidance of friendly coaches.
- Handle replica historical arms and armor.
- Enjoy a variety of high-energy training games including warrior dodge ball!
- Gain insights into historical events and the context of the knight in the Middle Ages.
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, and honor.
All of this while building friendships and applying the ideals of the warrior’s code of honor and chivalry.

Team Training Games
Young warriors engage in an over the barrier melee battle.
Interactive Armor Display
Students get an up close look at history and try on replica medieval helmets and maille, and handle shields, and (blunt) swords under the watchful eye of experienced coaches.
Cabbage & Pumpkin Cutting
Students showing exceptional levels of maturity and safety are given the opportunity to cut a cabbage or pumpkin using a replica sword.
Students spend time every day engaged in lessons of fighting with the longsword. Learn to fight strength with weakness and weakness with strength.
